2) The second type of consonants clusters are joined in two ways: 1) the normal distance between letters is reduced, e.g. નક્કી, ચક્કર. If they are written with normal spacing they will look like, નકકી, ચકકર. The letters ક and જ are joined in this manner. Read the following words:

ક - ચોક્કસ, અક્કલ, મુક્કો, ફક્ત, શક્તિ, શુક્લ
જ - સજ્જ, લજ્જા, ઉજ્જડ, જ્યાં, જ્વાલા, જ્યોત

2.1) સાંભળો અને બોલોઃ

તમને તમારા પૈસા ચોક્કસ મળશે.
(You will definitely get your money.)

એના છોકરામાં થોડી અક્કલ ઓછી છે.
(His son has little less sense.)

બાપુજી હમણા માંદા હતા એટલે શરીરમાં શક્તિ ઘટી છે.
(Father was recently ill so he lost energy)

પૂનમ શુક્લ પખવાડિયામાં આવે છે.
(The fool moon day comes in the bright half of the month)

ચાલો, લડવા સજ્જ થઈ જાઓ.
(Come on, get ready to fight.)

બારણું તો સજ્જડ બંધ છે, ખૂલતું જ નથી.
(The door is tightly closed, it does not open)

આ જમીન સાવ ઉજ્જડ હતી, આજે જુઓ કેવી લીલીછમ છે!
(This land was totally barren, and now look how green it is today!)
